Further Information: The uptake of e-Learning is measured across the organisation and across all staff.
One of the indicators of awareness and acceptance of e-Learning by employees is the measure of its uptake across the workplace. On its own, this measure says nothing about the quality of learning undertaken and delivered or the type of learning but it will provide useful information about access patterns and most popular topics. Take up of e-Learning is not a measure of success of e-Learning, rather an indicator of awareness and usage.
The National Learning Management System (NLMS) will make it possible to track individual learner records. The NLMS is a joint initiative between the Department for Health, NHS Connecting for Health, NHS Core Learning Unit, e-Learning for Healthcare and the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). The NLMS provides a single platform for accessing learning and has introduced e-Learning delivery capabilities across the NHS.
