Further Information: There is a clear e-Learning strategy that supports the Quality Care Agenda.

One of the most important parts of your organisation’s e-Learning guidelines is your e-Learning strategy. This is your starting point for creating an e-Learning process which is relevant to your own organisations’ needs and which fits in with national priorities and guidelines. When you start to develop your e-Learning strategy, you need to make sure that there are specific links to relevant parts of the Quality Care Agenda where appropriate.

In other words, how are you going to use e-Learning to deliver training to staff so that they support the implementation of aspects of the Quality Care Agenda?

For example, how will e-Learning help:

  • doctors to be involved in clinical governance, appraisal and personal development plans
  • a new performance assessment and support service
  • modernisation of the disciplinary processes?

Also, you could include statements about e-Learning in your policies relating to your response to the implementation of the Quality Care Agenda.
