There is now a National e-Learning Framework for England. The aim of the framework is to support the NHS as it moves towards embedding e-Learning and using technology to transform the delivery of education training. The framework builds on successful initiatives that have already taken place and aims to reduce duplication of effort.

The NHS workforce is incredibly diverse and therefore requires an employee focused and flexible system to support the lifelong learning agenda. The framework recognises the need for a flexible approach and that individual organisations are central in the development and commissioning of e-Learning resources.

It is important that your organisation’s development of e-Learning fits in with the national Framework to ensure coherence of provision across the whole country.
