Further Information: Those involved in learning and development are working towards Widening Participation and have processes in place to ensure that all learners' needs are identified and supported.
This means
- Having processes in place that enable us to evaluate and select e-Learning content appropriate to learners in bands 1-4
- Knowing of, and responding to, the literacy, numeracy and ICT support needs of our learners
- Having processes in place that enable us to evaluate and select e-Learning content in a range of the most common community languages
- Providing assistive technologies and ensuring that all staff know how to use them
- Actively monitoring the provision and uptake of learning by staff in bands 1-4 and being able to disaggregate this information to look at, participation by staff with poor basic skills, participation by those who use assistive technologies and those whose first language is not English
- Colleagues have the skills to support a wide range of learning abilities or know where to get that support
- Designing flexible learning opportunities and considering the way that learning is promoted to diverse learning audiences including language, style and the assumptions made about past learning experience, confidence and skills.
