Further Information: Learners have access to e-Learning outside of work.

e-Learning offers unprecedented flexibility and choices to individuals about when and how they learn. A Learning Management System enables tutors and learners to communicate and learn online, including away from the workplace. You can find out more about the National Learning Management System.

By using an LMS, tutors can mark work and return it, answer questions, set up focus groups, track and record learners’ progress and do a wide range of learning activities without meeting the learner face-to-face.
Anyone with a computer and Internet access at home can benefit from independent and informal e-Learning. It may be that workplace systems are only available on the local network or from an N3 connection.

Many Trusts also offer their employees Home Computer initiatives. You can find out more about Wandsworth PCT approach this.

Does you organisation allow learners to access the same e-Learning systems or services when they are out of the workplace?

Is any provision made to take e-Learning resources home?
