Further Information: Learners' work is subject to specified timetables and deadlines.

Clarity is important for learners and tutors to enable them to plan workloads and prioritise. The flexibility offered by e-Learning, and in some cases the reduced face-to-face contact between learners and tutors, can lead to a more open ended approach to submitting work.

Timetables and deadlines should be published online for reference and reminders sent out online to achieve the same result as reminders given by the tutor in a classroom setting. Reminders may take the form of text messages, emails and postings to online groups.
