e-Learning enables us to learn at a time that suits us, to catch up on missed work and to extend our learning experiences beyond the classroom.
e-Learning can be delivered by computer but also through mobile phones, PDA’s and a range of small digital devices. When developing e-Learning rsources it is essential to offer learning in a range of media to take into account different access patterns.
Some learners may be able to work online in staff rooms or dedicated learning centres. Others will work from home. A major part of any e-Learning strategy is the consideration that budget holders, developers and trainers must give to learner’s access and this includes the skills necessary to use the technology effectively.
