Help, I want to learn
Learners will sometimes have problems because they do not understand how to do something with the technology. Also things do go wrong occasionally!
Rather than giving up learners should be able to get help as soon as possible. Some problems may be dealt with immediately others may have to wait for a reply.
In the classroom, the trainer may be able to deal with their questions or point them in the right direction. But learning often takes place away from a classroom.
Other ways of getting help include:
- using online help or help in the software or a manual
- making a phone call
- emaiingl technical support
- putting a question to a collaborative group
- panic
Your organisation should provide ways for learners to get technical help.
And make sure they know how to get it.
