Further Information: Those involved in the development and delivery of learning are aware of where they can go for help and support in developing e-Learning and blended learning.

Accessing help and support

Are you an expert in e-Learning or just starting out?

The use of e-Learning is growing rapidly in the NHS. There is a vast pool of experience and knowledge which can be drawn upon by those involved in learning and development. This Toolkit is one such resource.

The resources section of the Toolkit allows access to lots of resources in relation to e-Learning and blended learning. A search facility allows the user to search by key words.

Other sources of help include the following:

NHS eLearning Repository

This is a search and discovery platform to help you find available learning resources from the NHS and partner organisations:www.elearningrepository.nhs.uk.

Case Studies

Within newsletters and at conferences, on line and by word of mouth case studies are excellent windows into how something was achieved or carried out.

NHS Stakeholders

Key amongst these are Connecting for Health, the Core Learning Unit, e-learning for Healthcare, Skills for Health, E-Learning Repository and Department of Health.

Regional Groups

As e-Learning has increased in use in the NHS, various support groups have been set up. Many of these work in a regional context. Some of these are specifically concerned with e-Learning and blending learning and others may be part of other groups such as ESR and LMS, human resource or clinical and educational groups. The groups themselves vary in terms of advice giving, information sharing to linking into shared resources and expertise.

See Toolkit page on networks.

Connecting for Health

Connecting for Health operate within each region and have a variety of networks and support groups most of which can be accessed by going to the Connecting for Health website.

And Elsewhere

You can find out how other sectors have dealt with the challenges and successes of introducing e-Learning into organisations by searching e-Learning on education and local government websites. The Move On website has a useful section on e-Learning.
